Felix Adler was very concerned with the Labor Question of his times. Here's a place we can learn about that and think about the Labor Questions of our times. -

Kiva lets you connect with and loan money to unique small businesses in the developing world. By choosing a business on Kiva.org, you can "sponsor a business" and help the world's working poor make great strides towards economic independence. Throughout the course of the loan (usually 6-12 months), you can receive email journal updates from the business you've sponsored. As loans are repaid, you get your loan money back.
Participants in the June 3 ESWoW call agreed that we want to participate in Kiva and several people have agreed to help coordinate that effort. -

It may seem difficult for members of ESWoW to work together on Ethical Action projects. Yet in many ways, the virtual aspects of our congregation are at the forefront of current day activism. There are issues which are of particular concern to members of our Society. These are issues regarding the use and access to the Internet and issues of privacy. There are several existing organizations which are doing extensive work to protect access to the Internet and protect privacy in many realms.

Would you be willing to share a bit about the work you are doing to make the world a better place? Or perhaps there is something you'd like to take action on something, but aren't quite sure what to do. This forum can be a place to ask for information, to get ideas or even advice if you'd like. And since we do all connect through the Internet, are there websites that you particularly use to take action or get information on ethical action issues? Let us know.
