Jean Somerville Kotkin gave this Platform Address at the New York Society for Ethical Culture in March 2000.

Jean herself had a strong presence in the Ethical Movement.  She served for a time as Executive Director of the American Ethical Union, and her hard work was a major factor in the success of the Humanist Institute.
