Topic 2: The Primacy of Ethics and Inherent Worth
This topic focuses on two different issues.
The first, called “The Primacy of Ethics,” explains how Ethical Culture sees ethics as more important than proving truth claims or establishing a dominant perspective on reality. In other words, deed is more important than creed. How we treat each other is more important than winning an argument.
The second explains a fundamental value in Ethical Culture: the inherent worth of every person as unique, irreplaceable, and deserving of respect.
