From the Leader
In her blog titled "Barbara Raines meets Richard Feynman",  Susan Rose writes about her meeting Barbara Raines both as a young girl and then as a Leader-in-Training.  She shares about what a creative person Barbara was, how she was dedicated to the Ethical Movement, and some of the organizations she helped create.

Community Calls

  • Sunday, March 18, 2012
Leader Susan Rose discusses women in the Ethical Movement.
  • Special Time - MONDAY, April 2, 2012
Catherine Bordeau, Leader-in-Training at the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture, joins us at a special time to talk about the important and very relevant topic of Women's Reproductive Rights.  We'll be sharing more resources as we get closer to the call.

Please join us at 5pm PT, 6pm MT, 7pm CT, and 8pm ET for both calls.

The contact number for the call is 866-740-1260, access # 5766842#.

Please join us and invite anyone you think might be interested. As always, please do not call while driving, since it's hazardous to yourself and others on the road.

Member Blogs
Bill Dechand, ESWoW Administrator, has taken the opportunity to report an event at his local Ethical Society to demonstrate the possibilities of using member blogs.  Anyone who is registered on the ESWoW website can create his or her own blog.  You can view Member Blogs from the Blogs menu on top of every page. The most recent will be listed first. If you are logged in as a member, there should also be a "Create new blog entry link at the top". Just jump in and start typing. Naturally we ask that you relate it somehow to Ethical Culture or the issues that concern our community. Proofread before you publish, as well. And one more thing -- be nice!

AEU Assembly, June 14-17, 2012
The AEU Annual Assembly is an opportunity to gather with people throughout the Ethical Movement and to learn what is happening at other Societies.  It is also an opportunity to focus on a particular social justice issue.  This year the issue is Criminal Justice and my colleagues in the NY Metro area are putting together a spectacular series of workshops and presentations.  I'll be sharing more information with you as soon as I have it.

Yours in Ethical Community,
Susan Rose
