The Adler Study Group is an opportunity to develop an appreciation for the roots of Ethical Culture and an understanding of strengths and limits of Adler’s thought. It is also a great opportunity to get to know more people who are interested in pursuing ethical living. In the forums and phone calls we can have an on-going dialogue about the meaning and future of Ethical Culture and how Ethical Culture influences our lives.
This study group is designed so that you may participate only online or you can supplement your online work with community calls which will occur every other week.

Introduction to Felix Adler (Formerly ADLER STUDY GROUP) - Expectations
Hugh Taft-Morales, leader intern, Ethical Society Without Walls (Hugh was certified as a Leader in January 2010.)
I am excited to be offering this learning opportunity through ESWoW, my first opportunity managing an online course. I would like to thank Susan Rose, Leader of ESWoW, and Billy Dechand for all the support they offer me in this venture. Twenty-five years of classroom teaching does not always transfer easily to an online forum. Constructive feedback from all participants is greatly appreciated, as is your patience while we continue building effective ethical community on the web.
Not only will I be learning a great deal about the process of working with an online community, I anticipate that this experience will help me better understand content about Felix Adler, the founder of Ethical Culture. My leadership training has given me a good understanding of Adler, but I have much to learn. Some participants in this class have valuable insights to add about Adler. Others may find the philosophical readings quite difficult. Rest assured that I hope to help translate the concepts into language that is accessible to all participants. I look forward to everyone sharing thoughts and questions in the spirit of cooperative education. Read more »
